About Us
|
Women in Finance (NSW) Inc. is a non-profit organisation, which provides a forum for professional women in financial services and related industries. Our objective is to provide a supportive environment for career and personal development and the opportunity to network with like-minded professionals. Established in 2000, following the success of the Brisbane-based organisation, we launched our first forum in February 2000 and incorporated in October 2000. Victoria launched in March 2000 and Perth recently in August 2005. With interest from Adelaide to establish an association, Women In Finance is becoming a truly national organisation.
Our Association Rules were updated in July 2006 to reflect the current management and operations of the Association and provide a foundation for further growth and development. At a Special General Meeting on 15th December 2009, the members approved a change of name to Women in Banking and Finance Incorporated to better reflect our membership base, and updates to our Constitution. "I had the most wonderful breakfast on the 22nd of November with Robyn Moore's words bringing tears to my eyes and a real change on mindset on behalf of my male partner, who accompanied me that morning, in regards to our functions. Thank you so much for coordinating this breakfast with Robyn. I had heard her words before at a company conference and I was filled with inspiration once again."
Rosario Carbajal, Network Development Manager, Expense Reduction Analysts
